As has become his norm over the years America's first ever black President and influential global leader Barack Obama took to the internet to share lists of some of his favorite 2020 pop culture moments.One list in particular had Africa in a frenzy with its inclusion of Nigerian talents Wizkid and Tems as well as South African House maestros Prince Kaybee,Black Motion,Ami Faku and Shimza.Of course the list had American superstars and other global superstars from a plethora of genres but Barry giving a nod to the land of his forefathers (his father is from Kenya) brought a toothy grin to many a son of the soil.
Barack admits that he had some help curating the playlist this year giving a shout out to his daughter Sasha Obama.Besides the list of ballads and bops the former Potus also shared his favorite reads as well as his movies/series and in true Barry style there is a lot of intense stuff on there.Peep the full lists below
For book worms some of these titles might make for intriguing reading and the fact that a best selling author who was once the Potus recommends them is just more sugar for the tea because greatness usually recognizes greatness
