The Winky D versus Jah Prayzah showdown that never was

A moment that was slated to be etched in Zimbabwean entertainment history ended up in tears with a last minute ban that broke the hearts of many music loving Zimbabweans who had raved about this moment weeks prior. Two musical behemoths arguably the two most dominant forces in Zim music for the past decade and the source of many bar room debates on one stage seemed to good to be true and in the end it was just that.Fresh off the release of Porovhoka a party tune his fans swore by while his critics actively looked for the nearest trash can to throw it Jah Prayzah was always gonna wow the stage as every concert goer who has seen the man in  action will testify.

Equally talented with a record of leaving egg on the faces of perfomers local and imported Winky D was also roaring to go having blessed his fans with a three piece sonical offering titled Ragga Musambo.Having partnered for Janet Manyowa's album launch Kayse Connect and Gateway Stream were super confident they could replicate the success of their first  pay per view event or even trump it.Comic Pastor,KVG,Karen Paida and Napoleon Nyathi were to handle hosting duties but alas the microphone checks let alone the show never happened.

At the last minute a statement was issued that the concert had been cancelled and the Zimbabwean digital streets were up in arms.Conspiracy theories and even explanations that had a genuine hue were peddled. With Winky D's track record of socially concious tunes some blamed politics for putting a spanner in the works while others blamed jealous promoters and industry folk.As of now the public can only speculate as Kayse only released a brief statement saying the show couldnt go on because of circumstances beyond their control and that everyone who had bought physical and pay per view tickets would be refunded.
