The 6th AFRIMA awards showcase went down in Lagos Nigeria last night.A lot of talented African superstars were in the running for an award but being the patriotic Zimboz we are we were definitely rooting for ours.Pearl Thusi was the host and African music royalty was in attendence all glammed up.From 2Face Idibia,Awilo Longomba,Nadia Nakia and our very own Hillzy the red carpet was oozing with talent.As the winners were announced our little hearts did a few somersaults when Hillzy and Garry Mapanzure's TV room won Best Duo or Group in African R'N'B ahead of C4 Pedro,Ahmed Soultan,Anna Joyce,Locko and Davido.Its always heartwarming when talent is rewarded and we are quite keen to see where these Zimbabwean superstars take it next.
So awesome to see some of our own being recognized in Africa its a clear indication that our music industry is moving forward, if we have artist with a better vision we can make it as Zimbabwe. thanks Hilly boy and Garry for representing 263 keep nice music coming we 100% behind you. shout out to Ti Gonzi, Takura and Tammy Moyo.
